This year Midwest Door & Hardware celebrates 25 years of serving Nebraska with quality service and products. To celebrate this milestone, we would like to highlight some of the projects that have made a difference and helped build Nebraska!
ST PATRICK’S, LINCOLN NE
We were pleased to assist with the project for St. Patrick’s Church in Lincoln, which is one of our most recent jobs.
The large archways and vast doors at St. Patrick’s Church are beautiful and contribute nicely to the atmosphere of the building, which was built in 2015.
Midwest Door & Hardware provided the confessional wood doors and frames inside the church, along with the hardware for the building.
NEWMAN CENTER, LINCOLN NE
Churches are great projects as they incorporate many custom features and wood door designs. In 2015, Midwest Door & Hardware completed the doors and hardware for the well-known Newman Center, located on the downtown UNL campus.
Along with outer frames, doors and hardware, we supplied Newman Center with beautiful wooden doors and frames which complement the rest of the architecture of the church building.
PINNACLE BANK ARENA, LINCOLN NE
One of our most notable projects that receives a lot of traffic through its doors is the Pinnacle Bank Arena in downtown Lincoln.
Thousands of people pass through our doors at this event arena, which provides all kinds of entertainment, from concerts throughout the year, to the Cornhusker’s basketball games in the winter. We even hosted a booth in this event venue as participants in the Lincoln Expo trade-show.
NE STATE FAIR, GRAND ISLAND NE
A notable Nebraska location is the Nebraska State fair building in Grand Island. Midwest Door & Hardware provided the doors and hardware for this beautiful, agricultural focused building.
This is another building which we proudly serviced, knowing our doors have been the entry way for education, entertainment, growth and Nebraska pride since it was built in 2014.
NE INNOCATION CENTER, LINCOLN NE
We are big Cornhusker fans here at Midwest Door & Hardware, and we especially pride ourselves in contributing doors and hardware to the University of Nebraska to help further quality education within their buildings.
One of the buildings on campus that we had a hand in was the NE Innovation Center, which is furthering engineering and science for the University, and was completed in 2014.
ASSURITY LIFE INSURANCE, LINCOLN NE
Midwest Door & Hardware helped with the large Assurity Life Insurance building project in 2011. The building resides in a 12-acre site near downtown Lincoln. This project features many “green” features such as storm water management processes, native grasses on the roof, utilization of natural sunlight, and within close proximity to the Antelope Valley trail for bicyclists. This project received LEED Gold certification.
AURORA CO-OP, AURORA NE
Midwest assisted with the Aurora Co-Op, which took its inspiration from the farm buildings that dotted Nebraska’s landscape during the 20th century. The A-frame’s barren iron trusses and oak panels on the ceiling evoke the inside of a barn, and its fiber-cement exterior panels are red.
Midwest Door & Hardware is proud of all the projects we have helped with over the years, aiding the progress and building of our great state. We are thankful for the past 25 years of growth and success, and look forward to many more years of serving you and the state of Nebraska!
