Our customers are our priority, and that’s why we’ve worked tirelessly to build a team of people whose goal is to give you the best experience. We chatted with some of these team members (new and old) to help you get to know them a bit better—everything from what they do, to what they love about our customers and industry.
Max Lorence, Detailer
Max is new to the team, starting in June 2018. He began his career at MWDH as an estimator and has recently moved to detailing. He works alongside our project managers to make sure our customers are taken care of and have the right doors, frames, and hardware. His short time as an estimator has helped him make sure customers have the best experience.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job? Working together with estimators and project managers to ensure that our customer are taken care of.
What do you love about this industry? It is fascinating to see how much goes into putting up a building or doing renovations to a building. Since starting at MWDH it has been cool to see the progression and work that goes into supplying the doors, frames, and hardware for a job, which is just a fraction of the entire build. There is always so much going on.
Tell us a fun fact about you. I have lived in Nebraska all of my life and grew up on an acreage between Doniphan and Trumbull. After high school I lived in Lincoln while attending Nebraska Wesleyan, where I played football, and now reside in Seward.
Melissa Eppes, Administrative Assistant
Melissa is the glue that holds our team together. She has been on our team for a little less than a year but she does it all, from greeting and assisting our customers to creating job files and summarizing hardware—helping out in any way she can.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job? I love when I’m able to assist customers with items I have just learned about and I know exactly what they want and need.
What do you like about this industry? I love learning about all the different aspects of hardware and what customers may need. Plus the fact that you will never stop learning.
Describe yourself in three words. Outgoing, goofy, trustworthy
Josh Sugita, Estimator
Josh has been a member of our team for a few months, working as an estimator. His previous experience working with general contractors makes him a valuable asset to our team. His attention to detail and love of numbers gives him the skills to help our customers accomplish their goals.
What’s your favorite part of working at MWDH? The people.
What started you on this career path? Details, I like details and the door industry is just that.
What’s your favorite food? Tacos.
Kevin Unick, Locksmith
Kevin has been part of the MWDH family for 2 years, starting in the warehouse and then moving into the locksmith role a year later. He pins cylinders for new and existing keys, makes keys for customers, and keeps track of the records for companies around Nebraska. His attention to detail makes sure the job is done correctly and precisely which makes him the best at what he does.
What do you like about this industry? That I will always be learning something new.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job? Getting positive feedback from customers about my work.
